George Burton (1858) married Amanda “Mandy” Stramble (1872) they had 6 children Selvy Jordan Burton (1895) (Mary), Della Virgie Burton (1898) (Arthur), Sumella V. Burton (1901) (Douglas Dawson), Earl R. Burton (1904), Hallie L. Burton (1909) (Cliff Waugh) and Lottie Burton (1916) (Ralph Pryor). 

Alexander Landrum (1865) married Carrie McCray (1866) in 1888, and they had 4 children Arthur Lee Landrum (1891) (Della Virgie Burton), Clarence Landrum (1894) (Blanche Rucker), Mary Frances Landrum (1898) (Selvy Jordan Burton) and Ollie Landrum (1907) (Booker Waugh) & (Willie Johnson)

Selvy Jordan Burton married Mary Frances Landrum (1898).  Mary Frances Landrum’s brother Arthur Landrum married Selvy Jordan Burton’s sister Della Virgie Burton and that was the start of the Burton Landrum foundation/connection.  The Burton Landrum union started in Lynchburg Virginia (Amherst County).

Della & Arthur had 9 children James Edward Landrum, Louise Landrum (Roscoe Ford), Minnie Landrum (Ernest Johnson), Mildred Landrum (James McCray), Kate Louise Landrum, Ollie Bell Landrum (Sam Wright), Arthur Landrum Jr. (Katherine), Mandy Faye Landrum (Robert Lee Jones) & (Herman Hendrix) and Carrie Landrum (Elburn Grooms).  James Landrum didn’t have any children.  Louise & Roscoe had 9 children Selina, Mary, Deborah, Cloretta, Robert, Ronald, Larry, Harold & Anthony.  Minnie & Ernest had 4 children Ernest, Lewis, Melvin & Minnie.  Mildred & James had 15 children Virgina, Linda, Bessie, Barbara, Shirley, Irene, George, Henry, Charles, Arthur, Lester, Andrew, Richard, Freddie and James. Kate Louise Landrum didn’t have any children.  Ollie & Sam had 3 children Sam Jr, Ethel & Donald.  Arthur Jr & Katherine had 4 children Arthur “Bobby” III, Florence, Brenda and Virgie.  Mandy & Robert had 3 children Patricia Ann, Juanita and Eula Mae.  Mandy later had 2 more children with her second husband Herman (Michael and Melvin Hendrix).  Carrie & Elburn had 3 children Carolyn, Lavon & Joyce.

Selvy & Mary had 11 children Mary Virginia (Joesph Fenner), Lewis “Buck” Burnell (Patrie Carter), Laurine “Tinnie” (Bernard Winston), Carlena “Shug” (Andrew Richeson) & (Roy Roberson), Curtis “Brother Man” (Sarah Quarles), George Albert (Virginia Richardson), Elick Harden Burton, Charles William “Bill” (Mildred Owens), James Andrew (Beverly), Nancy Jerlene (Norman Massie) and Clarence “Ed” (Jean Caldwell).  Virginia & Joesph did not have any children. Lewis “Buck” & Patrie had 5 children Margaret Rucker (Bud Eaglin), Lewis Jr. (Janice Washington) & (Eloise Bray), Julia (Ronald Bright), Celestine (Joe Caldwell) and Virgina (Jessie Dugger Jr.) & (Donald Green). Lorena “Tinnie” & Bernard had 2 children Curtis Winston (Nancy Caldwell) and Mary Winston (Douglas Stallings), Carlena “Sug” & Andrew had 2 children Andrew Richeson Jr. (Joan Wilson) and Margaret Richeson (Filmore Hicks).  and Carlena “Sug” & Roy had 2 children Shirley Roberson (William Reynolds) and Roy Anthony Roberson (Melvina Brown) & (Donna Hollins). Curtis “Brother Man” & Sarah had 7 children Curtis (Anita Benna), Thomas Gordon (Arma Jean Costello), Marvin (Ingrid Jeffries), Anthony Charles “Moose” (Cynthia Spaulding), Lawrence Cecil, Donna (Dewayne Sears) & (Charles Dunn) and Rochelle.  George Albert & Virginia had 2 children Maggie Virginia “Cookie” (Dwight Brooks) and Denise Alerteen “Tiny” (Kenneth Brooks).  Eleck Harden Burton did not have any children. Charles “Bill” & Mildred had 7 children Charles “Chuck”, Michael “Mike” (Zenobia Mack), Sherry “Cande” (Harvey Faulkner), Tanjua (James Shavers), Travis, Tracey (Sherese) and Heather.  James Andrew & Beverly did not have any children.  Nancy Jerlene & Norman had 2 children, Valencia (Charles Laymon) and Norman Warnell. Clarence “Ed” & Jean had 4 children Timothy Caldwell (Sylvia Schlot), Stephanie, Felicia (Lauris Barnes) & (Michael Ferguson) and Dietra.

Clarence & Blanche had 8 children Katherine (Anglish Nolen Sr.) & (James Bowles), Laura Bell, Odessa (Louis Carthan Sr.) & (William Brown), Clarence Melvin (Lorenza Terry), Alex, Florence Beatrice (James Robertson) & (Arthur Randall), Geraldine and James Alvin (Janie Jordan).  Katherine & Anglish Sr had 1 child Anglish Nolen Jr. and no children with James.  Laura Bell Landrum did not have any children.  Odessa & Louis had 1 child, Louis Carthan Jr. and no children with William.  Clarence & Lorenza had 5 children Clarence Daniel, Barbara Jean, Blanche Landrum-Lockett (Calvin Lockett Sr.), Melvina Diane & Rodney (April).  Alex Landrum did not have any children.  Florence Beatrice did not have any children.  Geraldine Landrum did not have any children.  James & Janie had 1 child James Landrum Jr.

Sumella Burton & Douglas Dawson had 7 children Earl Dawson (Anna Ellis), Kathleen (Dave Lee), Vernie (Robert Brown), Mary Lewis Dawson, Rebecca (Durand Ellis), Hazel and Douglas Jr.  Earl & Anna had 5 children Linda, Earl, John Edward, Melvin and Harold Lee.  Kathleen & Dave had 2 children, James and Charles.  Vernie & Robert had 1 child Robert Jr.  Mary had 6 children Lewis, Nannie, Wilbur, Virginia, Emma and Leroy.  Rebecca & Durand had 7 children George, Ann, Eula Mae, Brenda, Joyce, Durand Jr. and Isabella.  Hazel did not have any children.  Douglas Jr had 2 children, Tanita and Felicia.
